• • It is an adhesive produced for bonding pressure PVC-U pipe systems and accessories according to BS EN 14814 and BS EN 14680 standards.
• • It is especially recommended for bonding thermoplastic piping systems specified in BS EN 1452, BS EN 1455, BS EN 1566 and BS EN 1329 standards.
• • It is also designed for use in non-pressurized PVC-U and ABS systems.
• • Only 15 minutes of waiting time is sufficient per bar to be applied.

APPLICATION METHODS

• • Pipe ends and joints must be cut at the right angle and deburred.
• • Adhesion surfaces must be cleaned beforehand.
• • The surfaces on which the adhesive will be applied should be marked for correct application. If it is wet, it should be driedand cleaned of oil and dirt. Mix the hard PVC Adhesive before use. Adhesive should be applied smoothly and evenly.
• • To avoid mistakes, apply the first coat into the part to be threaded then apply along the pipe up to the marked area.
• • To reduce errors, the pipe should be applied twice.
• • Combine the pipe and the part to be bonded without turning it. Without waiting hold the pieces together for a fewseconds until curing begins. Clean up any excess with a cloth. As the product cures quickly, the parts must be assembledwithin 3 minutes after the application of the adhesive. If the adhesive is applied thinly and the air temperature is high,this time is even shorter.
• • Do not apply pressure to the system during the first 5 minutes of bonding the parts. Under +10 °C, the curing timeincreases 2-3 times. Pressure tests can be done after 24 hours.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• • Viscosity - 2.000-4000 mPas (Brockfield)
• • For bonding rigid PVC-U pipes and accessories specified in BS EN 14814 “Adhesives for thermoplastic piping systems used in pressurized liquids” in pressure systems up to 16 bar.
• Operating Temperature / Open Time -The open times for 1mm film thickness at +20°C is 1 minute and at +40°C is 30 seconds. As the film thickness increases, so does the open time.
• • The product is efficient between -25°C - +90°C
• • Recommended transport temperature is between +5°C / +30°C

SHELF LIFE

• Keep adhesive packages tightly closed and at room temperature. Shelf life: 18 Months. Adhesive may create difficulties in working as it will reach a denser consistency at temperatures below +5°C. In such a case, it should be kept at room temperature again and brought to its normal consistency by mixing. .

IMPORTANT

• PVC-U pipe bonding process with BOTZ P70 should be done by experienced personnel who have gained mastery in using these materials. Application forms recommended by PVC-U pipe and fitting manufacturers should be examined and the application should be made accordingly. .
